Since June 2021, Petra Ritter is spokesperson of the NFDI Neuroscience consortium.
Petra Ritter is located at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. As head of the section Brain Simulation she and her team focus on personalized brain simulation for a better understanding of disease processes in the brain and for enabeling the development of new therapy approaches. To this end, she and her team collaborate closely with international partners to create the open-source neuroinformatics platform The Virtual Brain. From the data shared in this project, the associated researchers were able to construct and simulate almost 1000 individual, Connectome-based brain network models.
