The german Stifterverband grants the Open Data Impact Award.
This award recognizes researchers who make their data available for reuse and unlock the innovation potential of their research. With the award and attention, it creates incentives both for scientists to make their data available for open use and for downstream users to develop this data in innovative ways. Three prizes of between 5,000 and 15,000 euros will be awarded.
Who can apply? Scientists or research groups from all disciplines at universities or non-university research institutions based in Germany who have made their research data open and enabled subsequent use and have developed an innovative subsequent use outside of science or have demonstrated the potential for a social impact in the subsequent use of their data.
